We're seeking volunteers to take on significant leadership roles, and various supporting opportunities for the next school year. There's a place for everyone to be involved at some level!
The Executive Committee serves as a steering committee, conducting the oversight and overall business of the PTO as a 501(c)3 non-profit. They meet at least 6 times per year. They make sure the Grade Squads have what they need to run the community events, conduct fundraisers, and support teacher's classroom needs.
Parents and family members of the Grade Squads are the heart and soul of the PTO. They execute specific projects for their grade and the school community. Using guidance and resources from the Executive Committee, they foster the amazing community we've come to expect at ISLA.
Chief within the mission of the ISLA PTO is our Language Ambassador program, where native speaking interns from countries like Spain, Colombia, Mexico, etc., join our community for the year. Host families welcome these interns into their homes as an additional family member. Tío/Tía families provide additional support and cultural experiences for the LAs.
Near and far, the grandparents of ISLA's students bring experience, joy, and extra sets of hands for our community.
