My name is Magdalena Heerwagen, I am 26 years old, and I was born in Santiago, Chile, a city surrounded by the majestic Andes Mountains, which change their appearance with each season of the year. In winter, the mountains are covered in snow, perfect for skiing. In December 2024, I will graduate as an Elementary Teacher, specializing in Integrated Sciences, my experience at ISLA being my final professional internship. I am the youngest of six siblings and have six nieces and nephews, which keeps me in constant contact with children. Every Sunday, my family gathers to enjoy a barbecue with beef, potatoes, and lots of salads. I have visited Patagonia many times, and it is my favorite place in the world. I dream of having a house there, surrounded by animals. I love adventures such as hiking mountains, rafting, and camping. I also enjoy exploring cities, trying traditional foods, meeting people, and immersing myself in different cultures around the world. In 2019, I spent two months in Chicago, an amazing experience that made me fall in love with American culture. I have five years of experience working in various schools in Santiago. I am passionate about education and firmly believe in its power to improve people's quality of life and make them happier.
