Future Board Opportunities

The ISLA PTO Board is comprised of volunteers within the ISLA community and while we have a FULL BOARD for the 24-25 school year, and have hit the ground running... if you are interested in learning more about getting involved at your kid(s)' school, this would be a great year to shadow the team and get a feel for things!! We for sure will have openings in the positions noted below as our absolutely amazing PTO Chair & Fiesta Planning Pro Jenner Moretto will be moving on from ISLA as her youngest daughter graduates 5th grade in Spring of 2025.

I would say one thing to really remember about the PTO Board is that there is not always one SET way to do things. We are all parents, most of us work FT and then some, have volunteer, family, friend, just life responsibilities... We are a team and whichever role you take on, does not mean it needs to be a carbon copy of the person holding that chair position before you. You can "go by the book", so to speak, or you can embrace your creativity, your set of skills to adapt things to make sense for you!

PTO Board Chair

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee general PTO Board plans– Collaborate with each board's chairperson to ensure the PTO has appropriate coverage for the LA Program, community building/events, support for students, families and teachers.

• Support the overall goal of the PTO Board to find new, fun & creative ways to support our students, teachers & families
• Connect with the community
• Be a main point of contact for the PTO through managing the PTO Chairperson email.
• Help coordinate & schedule 1hr monthly PTO Board Meetings

PTO Fiesta co-chair(s)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate the Spring Party & Fundraiser for ISLA PTO to fund our Language Ambassador Program! This is a GROUP EFFORT, and the Fiesta chairs are not responsible for executing all of the fundraiser needs, but they could be considered almost like a project manager. There to help guide the planning process & be a point of contact for the PTO Fiesta email.

• Support the overall goal & planning of Fiesta de la Primavera.
• 1hr PTO Board Meetings per month.
• Month leading up to Fiesta: Meet once per week.
• Help choose venue, themes, food & more!! 
• We have quite a few years of info documented from past year Fiesta's that could be used to build from. Or you could always take this fundraiser in a new direction if you have a vision for that.
