My name is María Paz Salinas Bastidas and I am 23 years old. I come from Santiago de Chile, a long and skinny country with a very wide variety of flora and fauna. My city is surrounded by mountains that, in winter, are covered with snow and allow us to enjoy skiing. I live in a house with my father, my sister and two dogs, who are like kids to me. I love to play sports, especially field hockey, but I also enjoy soccer. In Chile, I am a loyal fan of the team called Colo-Colo. Another of my passions is going out to eat at different places, as I am a lover of seafood, meats and good food in general. I also enjoy barbecuing with my family, as I come from a family where family gatherings are very frequent and appreciated. I am a friendly and dynamic person, always looking for new experiences that enrich my life. My goal at ISLA is to grow as a professional and as a person, learning tools that will allow me to effectively support children. I am fluent in English and come to Minneapolis with the purpose of perfecting my proficiency in the language and acquiring new pedagogical skills. I am fully committed to providing the best possible help to children and to further develop myself both in my career and in my personal life.
